A. Device Permissions

We request the following permissions to enable specific features:

  • Internet Access (INTERNET): Used to communicate with our servers, authenticate users via Firebase, and fetch dynamic content.
  • Wi-Fi State (ACCESS_WIFI_STATE): Used to check your network connectivity to ensure the app functions correctly and alerts you if you are offline.
  • Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to send you important updates, alerts, and transaction statuses via Push Notifications.
  • Storage Access (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used on older Android versions (up to API 32) to allow you to select profile pictures or upload documents from your gallery.

B. Third-Party Libraries & Services

We use several industry-standard libraries to enhance the app's performance and security:

Google Play In-App Update: Used to detect when a new version of the app is available. This allows you to download and install the latest features and security patches directly within the app for a better user experience.
Firebase (Analytics, Auth, Messaging):
  • • Auth: To provide secure login/signup functionality.
  • • Analytics: To understand how users interact with the app so we can improve features.
  • • Messaging: To deliver real-time push notifications.
Facebook SDK (App Events): Used to track important user actions like logins and registrations. This allows us to measure advertising performance and optimize the app based on how users interact with our features.
Google ID & Credentials Manager: To allow "One-Tap" login and secure credential management using your Google Account.
Volley: A networking library used to handle fast and reliable data requests between the app and our backend API.
Glide: An image loading library used to display and cache images (like profile photos) efficiently without consuming excessive data or memory.
ImagePicker: Provides the interface for you to capture or select photos for use within the app.
SDP & SSP Android: Helper libraries used to ensure the app's layout looks consistent and professional across different screen sizes and resolutions.
SwipeRefreshLayout: Enables the "pull-to-refresh" feature to update your data manually.
Custom Tabs (Browser): Used to open external links (like Terms of Service) safely within the app environment.

Data Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information. We use Firebase Authentication and Google Credentials to ensure your login data is encrypted and managed by Google's secure infrastructure. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide you with the services of the Votecep app. User accounts created via Firebase Auth can be deleted upon request.

Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
